Warm Care: Hot Stone Massage
Release Your Muscles and Relieve Stress with a Hot Stone Massage. This massage combines elements of a relaxing oil massage with the effective use of preheated lava stones. The procedure warms the muscles deeply, releases stiffness and tension, and, thanks to our massage techniques, can alleviate pain and release greater muscle tension than a classic massage.
What to Expect During a Hot Stone Massage
Initial Consultation at the Reception
Upon arrival at the reception, inform the receptionist of any chronic conditions, allergies, injuries, or any potential issues with your heart, blood pressure, skin, etc. You can also tell the receptionist about any specific concerns you have that the therapist should focus on.
For a perfect hot stone massage experience, we also recommend taking advantage of the power of aromatic oils from our seasonal offer. The heat from the lava stones penetrates deep into the muscles, relieving tension and helping to eliminate stress, while the aromatic oils add a unique sense of harmony and relaxation to the massage. More information about each aromatic oil and its beneficial effects can be found on our page dedicated to aroma massages.
Preparation for the Hot Stone Massage
The therapist will guide you to the massage room, where you will lie down on a heated massage table. The room is dimly lit with warm lighting, and soft, soothing music plays in the background, creating the perfect atmosphere for relaxation. The therapist already has all the necessary information from the receptionist, so you can fully immerse yourself in relaxation and leave your worries behind.
The Hot Stone Massage Process
The therapist begins with a gentle massage to help relax the muscles and prepare the body for the heat of the stones. Then, massage oil is applied, allowing the stones to glide smoothly over the skin. The heated volcanic stones are first briefly placed in the therapist’s hands to check their temperature before being gradually positioned on specific points of the body, such as the back, arms, legs, and between the toes, so the heat penetrates deep into the muscles.
The therapist combines various techniques and uses both heated stones and their hands to massage the muscles across the entire body or on specific areas as requested by the client. After completing the massage, the therapist carefully removes all the stones, cleans the skin of any excess oil, and concludes with a relaxing head massage.
Post-Massage Rest Period
After the massage, you can rest for a while to allow your body to fully absorb the benefits of the heat from the hot stones. We recommend drinking plenty of water, which helps eliminate toxins and supports recovery. Proper hydration after the massage enhances the feeling of refreshment and prolongs the positive effects on your health and well-being.
Relaxing Tea to Finish
After the massage, the client is offered a cup of tea or a glass of water. Tea is recommended as it not only aids in hydration but also enhances the feeling of relaxation and well-being.
