Deep tissue massage

Sports – deep tissue massage is a targeted treatment to release strained muscles. Intensity and focus tailored to each client.

Deep Tissue Massage: Release and relief from strain

Deep tissue massage is an ideal choice for anyone feeling stiffness, pulling, or long-term tension in the back, neck, hips, or legs. It is not a hard massage, but precise deep work that gradually releases strained areas and helps the body return to greater comfort and freedom of movement.

Deep tissue massage and sports massage are the same service. However, they differ in rhythm and emphasis on selected areas according to your goal, where sometimes calmer deep work is needed, other times a more dynamic sports regime for regeneration.

In the booking system, you will find it uniformly as sports deep tissue massage.

Do you want to focus the massage mainly on the problem area or, on the contrary, relax the whole body?
Tell us upon arrival and together we will set the intensity and course so that the massage is effective and pleasant at the same time.

Procedure for Deep Tissue Massage

🌿 Consultation at reception before the massage

In order for the deep tissue massage to be as effective and comfortable as possible, please tell us some basic information about your health and preferences upon arrival.

You can mention, for example:

  • Chronic diseases or injuries,
  • Skin allergies or sensitivities,
  • heart, blood pressure, or skin problems,
  • pregnancy.

At the same time, we will agree on what is currently bothering you (most often the back, neck, hips, legs) and what pressure suits you. You can adjust the pressure with the therapist at any time during the massage upon your request.

🌿 Preparing for the massage: what to expect

The therapist will accompany you to the massage room, where a calm environment, soft music and a heated bed await you to help your muscles relax faster. You can leave your belongings in the changing room or directly in the massage room (depending on the branch).

🌿 The course of deep tissue (sports deep tissue) massage

The massage begins with warming and loosening the tissues, from which the therapist smoothly moves to targeted work on strained areas. She works more slowly and precisely where it is necessary to “dissolve” tension, and depending on the goal, she can choose a more dynamic rhythm (typically during sports regeneration). She continuously adjusts the intensity effectively, but still with respect to your comfort.

🌿 Relaxation after the massage

After the massage, you can enjoy a moment of peace in privacy and let the effects of the massage sink in. Finally, we will prepare a cup of tea for you for a pleasant ending and to support regeneration.

What to bring for a deep tissue massage

Deep tissue massage is oil-based, so we recommend disposable underwear, which is also available at the reception. You can of course keep your own, we recommend ladies without a bra. We take care of your privacy and comfort at all times, you will always be covered except for the area we are currently massaging.

What length of deep tissue massage to choose

60 minutová masáže je ideální, když chcete řešit konkrétní problém ve vybrané oblasti (nejčastěji záda a šíje). 90 minut doporučujeme nejčastěji, protože je zde dostatek času zaměřit se důkladně na více oblastí. Postupné uvolnění a lepší efekt bez zbytečného spěchu.

How to set the strength and intensity of a deep tissue massage

Deep tissue (sports deep tissue) massage can be more vigorous, but should not be done with excessive force. At the reception, you choose what pressure suits you, during the massage you can always say that you want to add or subtract. The goal is effect and relaxation, not pain.

What are the benefits of deep tissue massage

Deep tissue massage targets strained muscles and tissues deep down and helps relieve stiffness, tension and the feeling of pulling in the back and neck. Promotes better mobility and a feeling of lightness in the body. At the same time, it can excellently help with regeneration after sports performance, with the correct intensity setting.

How often to go for a deep tissue massage?

For routine care and prevention of overload, 1× every 3–4 weeks is usually sufficient. If you are dealing with significant stiffness or long-term strain, it is advisable to go 1× every 1–2 weeks for a limited time, then switch to a maintenance rhythm.

When to choose a deep tissue massage and when to skip it

Choose a deep tissue massage when you feel long-term tension, stiffness and strain (typically from sitting at a PC, one-sided load or sports). Sports deep tissue massage is perfect as a way to regenerate after performance, it is a matter of choosing the right rhythm and focus. If you have acute inflammation, fever, a fresh injury, or severe pain without a clear cause, we recommend consulting a doctor first.

How you may feel after a deep tissue massage

After a deep tissue (sports deep tissue) massage, you may feel pleasantly relaxed, sometimes even slightly sensitive in places that were more strained. Mild sensitivity is common and usually subsides within 24–48 hours. During the massage, the therapist will adjust the pressure at any time upon your request, the goal of the massage is effect and comfort, not the feeling that it needs to be endured.

Deep tissue massage during pregnancy

If you are pregnant, please always tell us when booking so that we can choose a safe type of care and positioning. In the 1st trimester, we recommend massages only after consulting your doctor (and rather in a gentler variant). From In the 2nd trimester, it is more appropriate to choose a pregnancy massage directly. Generally, skip the massage in case of any complications or risky course (e.g. bleeding, abdominal pain, regular hardening of the abdomen or contractions, fever or acute infection, high blood pressure/suspicion of pre-eclampsia, significant swelling or sudden one-sided pain and swelling of the calf, placenta praevia, threatened premature birth, etc.). If you are not sure, write to us or call us – we will recommend a suitable option, or postpone the massage to a safer date.
