Do I Need to Prepare for the Massage?
We recommend arriving at least 10 minutes before the start of your massage so that you have enough time to prepare, store your belongings, refresh yourself, or take a shower.
There is no special preparation needed before the massage, but it is advisable to come in comfortable clothing and to be well-hydrated. We suggest avoiding heavy meals just before the massage so that you feel comfortable.
Do You Prefer a More Intense or Gentle Massage? Would You Like to Customize Your Massage or Have Other Requests? Feel free to tell us upon arrival at the salon. Our receptionists will gladly advise you on selecting a massage and ensure it suits you.
Contraindications to Massage – When to Avoid Massage
We always recommend informing our reception about your health condition before the massage. Our reception is qualified to advise you on the appropriate type of massage and your preferences.
Avoid massage if you have an acute inflammation, fever, or infection to prevent worsening your condition. Massage is not suitable for muscle injuries or fractures. If you have varicose veins, heart problems, or high blood pressure, it is necessary to consult with a doctor before having a massage.
Massage During Pregnancy: Benefits, Risks, and Recommendations – Massage is not recommended during the first three months of pregnancy, or it is advisable to consult with a doctor.
By following these recommendations, you ensure that the massage will be not only enjoyable but also safe for your health.
Which Massage is Best for Me?
I have had unpleasant experiences; can a massage be painful?
A massage should never be painful. With some types of massages, such as deep tissue massage or work on tense muscles, there may be some discomfort, but it is important to communicate with your therapist about your feelings. The therapist will always adjust the pressure and technique to ensure the massage is both comfortable and effective.
If it is your first time getting a massage, we recommend opting for a relaxing massage or our signature Filipino massage. These massages are ideal for a first experience as they provide deep relaxation and gentle relief.
All the techniques our therapists use are based on our experience and customer feedback. However, massages can affect everyone differently. If you feel any discomfort during the massage, do not hesitate to inform your therapist immediately. The massage will be adjusted to suit your needs.
Our therapists are regularly trained and certified in the field, with years of experience to provide you with the best care possible.
How often should I get a massage?
Regularity is important: massages are not only about addressing existing pain but also about preventing it from occurring in the first place. A one-time massage may bring relief, but it will not solve a long-term problem. Regular visits are key to sustained relief.
- Every 2–3 weeks: If you are new to massages, we recommend coming every 2–3 weeks. Massaged muscles stay relaxed for approximately 14 days, after which they may start to tense again. Regular sessions help keep the muscles relaxed and pain-free.
- Every 4–6 weeks: If you have been getting massages for a while and do not have any significant issues, one visit a month is sufficient. This is the minimum recommended frequency for maintaining good muscle condition.
- Occasional visits: If you get a massage only once every few months, it will bring you short-term relief but no long-term therapeutic benefit. Regularity is necessary for real improvement.
To achieve long-term results and improve your health, consider a regular relaxing massage or Filipino massage, which are ideal for consistent visits.
Is massage suitable if I am pregnant?
-
Yes, massage during pregnancy is both appropriate and beneficial. It helps relieve muscle tension, back pain, and improves blood circulation, which leads to a greater sense of well-being. Massage also supports mental health by reducing stress, improving sleep, and providing overall calmness. We recommend our aroma massage.
Safety is the priority. The massage focuses on safe areas, such as the back, shoulders, and legs, and is performed by professionals who understand the needs of pregnant women. The massage is most often done on the side, with a supportive pillow for maximum comfort.
When should you skip a massage? Massage is not suitable during the first three months of pregnancy or if you have health problems such as high blood pressure or the risk of premature birth. Always consult your doctor before going for a massage.
Regularity brings the best results. We recommend regular massage during pregnancy, especially in the third trimester, if approved by your doctor.
Massage during pregnancy is ideal for supporting the health of both the mother and the baby until birth, but it should always be performed with consideration of your current situation and after consultation with your doctor.
What oils are used during the massage?
During an aroma massage, we use natural plant oils that are gentle on the skin and may be enriched with essential oils for aromatherapeutic effects. If you have allergies or prefer a specific oil, we recommend discussing this in advance with our reception staff, who will be happy to advise you and select the most suitable option based on your needs.
How to Relax During a Massage?
-
- Breathe deeply and slowly: Focus on each inhale and exhale during the massage.
- Relax your whole body: Consciously release your muscles with every exhale.
- Stay in the present moment: Concentrate on the touch and warmth you feel.
- Embrace the massage: Allow yourself to be pampered and accept the care provided by the therapist.
- Imagine a peaceful place: Visualize a calming environment, like a beach or a forest.
These steps will help you relax fully and enjoy the massage.
What to Wear for a Massage?
Massage attire depends on the type of massage. For example, during a traditional Thai massage, it is customary for the client to wear loose clothing, which you can borrow for free at our reception. For most of our massages, natural oils are used, so it is common for the client to wear only underwear. Free disposable underwear is also available at the reception. We recommend that women remove their bras for greater comfort during the massage.
How Long Do Muscles Hurt After a Massage?
Muscle soreness after a massage can be completely normal and a common experience. This is especially true for people who are not used to regular physical activity or those who haven't had a massage in a long time. This pain, known as muscle soreness, is usually less intense than pain after physical exercise and typically subsides within one to two days.
After a deep tissue massage or traditional Thai massage, muscles may hurt a little longer due to the more intense work on deep muscle tissues and fascia. This pain usually disappears within a few days.
Is it True that Only Women from the Philippines Massage at Your Place?
Yes, currently, we predominantly have therapists, about 90% of whom are from the Philippines. Additionally, our team includes therapists from Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Indonesia, and other countries.
Each therapist, even with many years of experience, brings a unique approach to massage thanks to their origin and different training styles. Our goal is to ensure that every massage meets our high standards and the expertise we have gained over the years.
Can I Choose an Aromatherapy Oil for the Massage?
Yes, you can. Aromatherapy oils have a variety of beneficial effects on the body and mind. For an aroma massage, you can choose an oil from our seasonal offer directly at the reception. Aromatherapy oils not only improve overall well-being but also promote relaxation, relieve tension, and help with stress.
These oils are also suitable for other types of massages, such as hot stone massage, where the heat allows the oils to penetrate deeper into the skin and contribute to better regeneration. They are also recommended for pregnancy massages.
Feel free to smell them at our reception and discover the magic of aromatherapy.
