The therapist focuses primarily on the trapezius muscles, neck, shoulder blade area and interscapular muscles, often also on the lumbar spine, which is closely related to the upper back.<\/p>\n The warmth of the palms and the calm pace help the muscles gradually soften and succumb to relaxation. The body thus moves from defensive tension to a state where it is possible to work effectively and without unnecessary pain.<\/p>\n \ud83c\udf3f Deep work – targeted release of overloaded areas<\/strong><\/p>\n The most effective part of the entire back and neck massage comes when the muscles release. The therapist focuses on specific overloaded areas \u2013 muscle knots, stiff fibers around the shoulder blades and areas along the spine.<\/p>\n She uses a combination of palms, forearms and elbows themselves, always with feeling and pressure control. It also includes gentle stretching of the neck and release of deeper structures that a regular massage often does not reach.
